| John Greene and Cheryl Taylor are the owners-operators of Blackstar Mines. We have been mining "Tucson Blue" for 10 years in the mountains
of southern Arizona. This opal only occurs in a small area and is quite
rare. John does the mining and stone cutting, and Cheryl makes the pieces
into jewelry. Since just the two of us are working the mine, we never have
a large selection at any given time. We own and operate a small retail shop
on the interstate south of Tucson , Arizona, where you can buy jewelry,
cut stones and specimen.
